Quintessence Photonics Corporation wins development and production contract for high brightness semiconductor target designator laser

( SYLMAR , CA ) May 23, 2005 — Quintessence Photonics Corporation, a world leader in the design and manufacture of high brightness, high power semiconductor lasers, announced today that it has been awarded a product development contract and multi-year production contract for high brightness, direct diode, target designation lasers from one of the world’s largest defense contractors.  The defense customer completed a worldwide review of the available technology from traditional diode laser manufacturers and chose Quintessence based on its unique capability to produce high brightness semiconductor laser sources.
